Avocadocumentary: Weeks 62/63--Moving On Up
Okay, compy fixed, so I have pictures for the most recent entry!
Okay, first, dear Avobaby. I've only done a picture of its top, as that's where it's most interesting.
Avobaby's apex is acting a bit odd. Obviously we're due for another crop of leaves, but it seems to be somewhat, well, long is the best way to describe it. It's a different shape, and the leaves seem to be growing up instead of folding out. We'll see what happens!
Hal and Gigi and several of my other tenants now have new digs! We have a bookcase-like shelf contraption thing, which they're sitting on now, so they no longer have to be on the floor. Gigi seems quite pleased. She can lord over several of the other plants now.
Hal, meanwhile, has lost his other leaf, and has acquired the new nickname of: Stick. He looks positively stick-like. However, on the up side, one of his leaves is starting to come out, which is a good thing, considering he has none left. It looks a little funny, though, almost like it's inverted from the way it should be. Ah well. As long as it photosynthesizes, I don't care what it looks like. <3
And here we have Gigi, looking big and healthy as ever. The axillary branches have come out quite nicely, and no longer have the whole tentacle thing going on, which is good. They look like actual branches. I guess the Tentacley-Avocado-of-Death thing wasn't quite working out for her.
Also, a note on SOG, since the picture I took didn't come out well. I'm not completely sure he's going to make it. His tips are turning brown, and unless he does some serious growing fast, he's going to be overtaken by Gigi. Maybe she thought him too weak to inherit the empire. But we shall see!
