Spring is coming! *bouncebouncebounce* Spring is coming! *bouncebouncebounce* Spring is coming! *bouncebouncebouncebounce* Guess which spring I'm talking about!

The Japanese magnolia appears to have survived the wacky not-quite-winter, and is now fixing to bloom. I'm so excited. I've got high hopes that it'll grow a ton and catch up with some of the other magnolias I've seen floating about the area. I've also started keeping a vigil on the shady area, for when they start to emerge. I'm really hoping they all survived the winter, but if not, I should probably know soon, so I'll know where I'll need to fill in space. Grow, my little hostas, grow!

I've also been bitten by the seed bug. I normally don't grow plants from seed (Avobaby being the notable exception), but, well, I found some that I was just too intrigued by to not try. I bought a pack of bonsai-friendly pine-type seeds to play with, as well as some olive tree seeds and some sunflower seeds that came free with two packs of seed. The sunflowers are gonna go outside in a hopefully sunny spot. I was also suckered into buying some brandywine tomato seeds, thanks to "The $64 Tomato", so we'll see how far that goes.

Tomorrow--repotting and seeding!
