ruI would like to take a moment to SQUEE over the package I got in the mail from a certain Sushi yesterday. It couldn't have come at a better time, either, as I was heading out to the herbarium when I discovered it, and was kinda in a funk, and discovering it on the doorstep made the day suddenly SO MUCH BETTER. It included an adorable star jar which will be going on my desk at school, a Burt's Bees kit complete with bee-friendly flower seed pack(which is just the excuse I need to start a patch of herb/flower randomness in the backyard!), and BPAL imps, which I can play with now! <3 Sushi is so awesome, and it made my day. <3
Oh man, now we're getting good. "Partners in Crime" kinda made me go, "Bwuh?". "The Fires of Pompeii" had a definite extra dose of awesomeness, and now "Planet of the Ood", OMG. I seriously loved it. Maybe in part because it was nice to see the Ood again, and to see more of what they were like, especially since "The Impossible Planet"/"The Satan Pit" kinda gave them a bum rap. But in particular there were some really wonderful moments. The scene where the Doctor let Donna hear the song of the Ood? I was TEARING UP. Her reaction was so wonderfully sad. And I want to give the Ood a big huge collective hug. About the only thing that really weirded me out was when that one guy turned into an Ood. That was a "Bwuh?" moment, but other than that, it was wonderful. I hope it only gets better from here.
