Midnight cravings?

Okay, that was really weird.

Totally out of the blue, I started craving white rice and duck sauce, and I DON'T KNOW WHY. I never eat white rice and duck sauce together, for starters. Maybe I was just wanting white rice, with duck sauce present. Which is just strange. I like duck sauce okay, though I don't eat it very often. I'm kinda fonder of its smell, particularily after it has just come out of a takeout bag full of steaming hot Chinese food, which I know is really weird. And it was a particular kind of white rice I was wanting too. I seem to recall, when I was very young, there being a Chinese restaurant we occasionally got take out from. The rice had a particular smell and taste and texture that I remember, and I remember it came with duck sauce packets. I think I'll need to make rice tomorrow for lunch.

I just realized that this isn't the first time this has happened where I have wanted rice from that Chinese restaurant and the smell of those duck sauce packets. The funny thing is, I don't really remember much of the restaurant at all. I don't remember what it looked like really, or what the name of it was, or where it was, or anything like that. Just the rice and the duck sauce packets.

I never said I was normal. XD

Old cheddar cheese as in really aged? I'm probably a dork asking this. ^^;;

Actually, that doesn't sound too bad. I kinda have to be in the mood for pickles, but I may have to try that sometime. Maybe when we get some of that super-AWESOME XXX sharp cheese my gramma gets for us when she visits. <3 <3 <3

Probably the strangest pickle-with-something combination I've heard is pickles + chocolate pudding. ^_^;;

pickles and chocolate pudding....well......i like french fries and wendy's frosties, so i guess anything's possible. (actually, i know several people who like fries and frosties...)
old cheddar is, yes, well aged. it makes it quite sharp, so maybe it's similar to what your gramma brings. try it with pickles. YUM!!
