Sights of the Day
Sep. 20th, 2005 09:07 pmIt's amazing what you can find when walking from one end of the campus to the other. Such as:
1.) The ginkgo trees are starting to turn that lovely yellow color they do when fall's coming(or maybe it's just a trick to hypnotise us so we don't see them hatching their fiendish plots... >_>)
2.) Shelf fungus. I happened to notice a humgongous crop of it up on one of the trees at a branch scar. At first I thought it was some sort of wood structure, because hey, I don't know of any fungus around here that gets *that* big. I'm guessing the shelves had to be bigger than my hands put together. They were that huge.
3.) Purple underwear. I kid you not. Purple. Underwear. Lying on the sidewalk. I'd like to think that maybe it just fell out of someone's gym bag, but the way it was lying seemed to suggest that someone suddenly decided to go commando and just took them off in the middle of the sidewalk and is now running around campus underwearless. Go figure.
Who came up with the phrase 'go commando' for 'go without undergarments' anyway?
