It's a Christmas Eve special! Well, not really. It just happened that I wasn't able to get around to taking Avobaby's pictures until tonight, thanks to various things including relatives visiting, Doctor Who, and copious amounts of fatigue. Well, okay, I'll add something else too. <3

It looks like putting Avobaby into a new pot was just the thing to snap it out of its palm tree phase. The leaves have perked up, and it's looking more like itself again. I do think, though, that it won't be in this pot for long, as it wasn't much bigger than the previous pot, and will probably grow out of it rather quickly. Hopefully Avobaby won't angst at me about how often we move and how it JUSTS gets settled into a new place when we have to up and move again.

I'm a little concerned about how the apical bud looks, though. It kinda almost looks like it's gone pale and shriveled a bit, which makes me wonder if this is as big as Avobaby is going to get. I hope that's not the case, as I'd love to see Avobaby grow more. Maybe it's just taking a break. If so, maybe we'll eventually see another growth spurt. <3

And now for something completely different, I thought I'd show off one of my other plants that frequents the house. This is, by and far, my biggest plant--a hugemongous split leaf philodendron (also known as a swiss cheese plant I believe) that I bought from the local organic grocery for about $13. Since then, it's grown twice its original size, and now is officially taller than me. Hell, it's dwarfed a NEBULA, as indicated by the one in the background. XD

This would be the same plant that was having serious climbing issues a few months ago, trying to get into lamps and generally acting rather unruly. It's behaving much better now that it has its own personal pillar to climb up, into which I can send its anchoring roots into, although I suspect I'll need to add some sort of add-on to it soon, as it seems like it's already starting to get a little big for it. Ah well, I won't be too concerned until it starts bumping up against the ceiling. More growing is a good thing! <3 <3

And now, knitting!
