I appear to be on a henna kick lately. The other day I dug out the little henna kit I got, oh, last year some time, and discovered the henna was still good. So I mixed it up, and brought it to the family get-together we had on Sunday. Subsequently, I drew on anyone who would let me. I drew on my mom (who was a good sport and let me use her as a doodle pad to get used to using the henna cone), I drew on one of my aunts, I drew on one of my cousins, I drew on me. It's actually rather fun, drawing on people and making pretty pictures. I'd like to get some more and practice on more people. I know I'm a long way off from doing anything extremely awesome and elaborate, but hey, it's fun! ^_^

I actually recommend henna paint for friends who consider getting a tattoo. I'm sorry, but my lab-animal shtick is OVER, so I see no reason to get poked by a needle anymore unless I'm doing it to save a life, plus I have my doubts that many girls who want to get things permanently attached really know what it will look like when they are 95. So while I've never used it, I tell them about henna as a 'trial' version of normal tattoos.

I could see how it could be used as a trial version of tattooing. I don't want to get a tattoo, but I find henna to be great fun. It's a nice way to experiment with body art and be a little rebellious without committing to it. Not to mention it's pretty. ^_^;
