Dec. 9th, 2006 10:52 pmWhen I was little, The Polar Express was a book that was frequently brought out during the holidays. Even now, it ranks as one of my favorite Christmas books. This is probably a large part of the reason why I wasn't too excited when the movie adaptation came out--I find it very hard to believe that a full-length movie could be made out of a children's book that's as short as it was, and that it could be made good. Last night, I caught the movie on TV and discovered I was proven right. Aside from the fact that I didn't care much for the animation, I found it to be ripe with mocking moments.
