There is a graduate fellowship program put out by the NSF that doles out big money to grad students to fund their research. It was recommended to me by the head of our grad school department. And I think I'm going to try for it.
Now keep in mind, this thing is due in basically three weeks. So I have to try and manage everything else I do whilst trying to get this thing hammered out in time. The last time I applied for funding, I about nearly ripped my hair out trying to get it ready, and this was only a couple-grand funding source(didn't get it, either).
But it would be so sweet if I could get this one. It would basically fund my entire study. Hopefully I can do this and still keep my hair intact.
