Seeing as I was running out yesterday, I didn't get the chance to include the site that
sasami found the other day. Brace yourselves, people. They do things with chocolate that I never thought would be done with it(and by that I mean bizarre combinations like wasabi and chocolate. I know what you were thinking. :p) Anyway, Wasabi...and...chocolate? I never thought I would see such things. Admittedly, some things look like they might be worth trying. Like the viola truffles. The idea of eating flowers fascinates me for some reason. I only got to indulge in it once, when we were on a nature walk in my ecology class and my prof pointed out that redbud flowers are edible and asked for volunteers to try it. They tasted a lot like lettuce.
And now, for the other part of the entry,
A - Accent: None, as far as I can tell. I've been accused of having various accents, like New Jersey, but most people claim I have none to speak of. Which is nice I guess. Maybe it's because of my dichotomous upbringing(north for the really early formative years, south for everything else).
B - Bra size: 40D ._.; What's the return policy? These are too big.
C - Chore you hate: Putting away clothes. I don't know why, but when I have to do it I just go RRRRRGGGGHHHH.
D - Dad's name: Jeff
E - Essential make-up item: Um...does lip balm count?
F - Favorite perfume: Despite the fact that I almost *never* wear perfume...'Tommy Girl' I guess. I'm told it smells really really nice on me.
G - Gold or silver: Silver.
H - Hometown: New Hartford. <3
I - Insomnia: Only when I'm *really* stressed out. Last time that seriously happened was during finals last semester. Biochemistry. *shudder*
J - Job title: PHYSICS WHORE FORMERLY CHEMISTRY WHORE...erm...um...student. ^^;
K - Kids: Maybe, but *big* maybe there. No right now, and I doubt that'll change.
L - Living arrangements: Half and half. I live in the dorm at school during the week(by my own self. ;_; Won't someone come and stay with me?), and with my parents during the weekend.
M - Mum's birthplace: Mississippi
N - Number of pets you've had: One parakeet(deceased), one cockatiel(flew away, most likely deceased), and one dachshund(still alive and terrorizing my parents)
O - Overnight hospital stays: None to my knowledge, though I guess birth might have involved an overnight stay.
P - Phobia: Parasites. Ticks in particular. And tornadoes. Tornadoes freak me out like no other weather phenomena can. Heights are a big one too. I know, I'm a wimp. ._.;
Q - Queer?: Peculiar? Yes, I think I'm peculiar. ^_^;
R - Religious affiliation: Uhm...I'm really not sure. We'll go with agnostic for the sake of the survey, but leave that open.
S - Siblings: One brother. <3
T - Time you wake up: 9:15/10:15 during the week, on weekends, whenever my body decides to let me get up.
U - Unnatural hair colors you've worn: Hm...none to really speak of. I wonder what it'd be like to have blue hair. Or at least to have blue streaks...
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat: I can't think of a vegetable I don't like. I severely disliked eggplant for a while, but I've grown out of that.
W - Worst habit: Worrying. Really. I'm such a worrier.
X - X-rays you've had: Teeth, skull, and right elbow.
Y - Yummy foods you make: Lessee...spaghetti, chess pie, grasshopper pie, tuna salad, stir fry of various sorts, omlettes, eggs in general...I like cooking. ^_^ If you want me to learn to make something, I will. <3
Z - Zodiac sign: Leo. Rar!!

Date: 2005-02-18 08:12 pm (UTC)And yeah, I did. From when I slid down my neighbor's driveway on my face and accquired my lovely dashing scar. After they sewed me back together again they wanted to take x-rays of my skull to make sure I hadn't fractured anything like my cheekbones or something. Or maybe it was before they sewed me back together again. I don't remember much about that.

Date: 2005-02-18 10:49 pm (UTC)Nasturtiums taste peppery, but if you only nip the tip of the flower, where the nectar is? So sweet. Same with honeysuckle, which doesn't taste that great if you eat the entire flower. Pink roses are good, sweetish with a hint of apple. White taste like nothing much, maybe carboard. Red roses taste strongly like "misc. plant." Yellow roses... I forget what they taste like, only that they aren't as good as pink. Lavender is generally not eaten by itself, but instead used as a spice in things like fruit salad, bread, and cake. It (shock!) adds a floral note, and it's best if people can't tell what it is. I have heard violet and/or lavender essence is good in chocolate, and chive blossoms taste like onion.
