My smiling muscles are still hurting.
Mar. 27th, 2005 06:48 pmWow. Just...wow. You wouldn't believe the day I had yesterday. Wedding goodness and premiere goodness.
The wedding goodness came first. A couple of friends of mine got married yesterday, and they invited me to the ceremony/reception. It was the first wedding I had gone to in about ten years or so, and the first wedding I went to on my own(i.e. without parents), so that was a new and fun experience. It was also the first time I wore HIGH HELLS. Go me! I think I actually did fairly well, all things considered. My feet didn't like it when I stood on them for long periods of time, but oh well. The ceremony was beautiful, with a bagpiper playing the processional and recessional and the bride looking downright gorgeous. All during the ceremony and the main dances I was grinning like a goof. Then they had a slow dance for everyone else, which gave me an excuse to dance with Eien-chan, which was really nice. And
lighthawk did very well on his speech, though I could tell he was a nervous wreck. *applauds for him* It was also nice to see a DJ who 1.) Had a sense of humor and 2.) Didn't play crap music. All in all, it was a blast, and I was really honored that they invited me.
And *then*, as if that wasn't enough for one day, I skeedadled afterwards for a two hour drive to the premiere party for a movie I ended up being in. The drive itself, aside from a sudden need to stop for gas, went without a hitch(and again, many things to those who drove me. <3 <3 <3). But anyway,
aneles's father, who directed the movie, needed someone to play a small role, and I ended up being the one asked. So I got to see my film debut at the cast party. XD It's a rather philosophical movie, with some themes and ideas that I think require me to see the movie a few more times before I completely get it, but I'm glad I was a part of it. We were giggling the whole way through it, partially due to the whole "OMG I'M ON THAT SCREEN" feeling. I swear I looked like a downtrodden puffball during that one scene. But that's just my own feeling. ^^; In either case, I smiled most of the time, and by the end of the night smiling hurt because I had been doing it so much. Either way though, it was an awesome day.
And now, back to school for me!
And remember, cheese puffs are fundamental, and hats are photogenic.
