I have managed to finish off my jar of couscous. Which means I now have a fairly large, empty plastic jar with a big, wide mouth. And of course, being the horrible packrat that I am, I'd like to try and find a use for it, rather than throwing out a perfectly good container.

So my question to you all: If you had a large, empty jar with a nice wide mouth, what would you put in it?

OOH. I had not thought of using it for a candy jar! I like the pennies idea too, but I don't really accquire pennies and other various and sundry loose change, so candy would probably would work better. <3

FISHIES! <3 <3 <3 I would love to have a fishy in the room, assuming I could trust myself to properly care for it. I would be SAD if it died. ;_; I think I'm better at caring for plants. ^^;

And it's a clear jar, yes. Though it does require some de-labeling before it's really clear, seeing as it has labels and all.

I like the flower container idea too. <3 I need something vase-like for the rare occasion that I get cut flowers.

betas require little care and can live in pretty grungy water. you should prolly clean the water every 2 weeks or so if you get one. i love betas, tho. SO pretty.

a flower container is a good idea, tho. i find that, when i get flowers (rare for me, too), i'm always searching for a good vase.

Eeee! Also a good idea! I've been wanting bamboo for my room for a while. Although, don't they require high light to really do well? Because the room I'm in doesn't get as much light as I'd like for my plants. Hence why I have to stick to the really durable or shade loving plant-types. But I would love some bamboo. I should check the local store to see how much they sell for bamboo-without-containers.
