May. 25th, 2005 09:37 pmWhilst walking to the uni's food court-type thing today, I noticed as I walked by the outdoor tables that someone had made a garland of clover flowers and placed it around the hole where an umbrella would go. Aside from the fact that it was a cute little garland, it made me smile because it made me think "Hey, someone's walking around leaving clover garlands in places. Sounds like something Eve would do. <3 <3" I know, I'm such a dork. XD
Also, we learned the lesson today that one should not order herbaceous plants online. There's a company that we've ordered from for years(the monster butterfly bush in our backyard that is now home to the numerous birdfeeders we have came from them), and we've never really had any reason to be dissatisfied. Then again, we always ordered bareroot plants, which, as far as I can tell, are dormant, so they can survive the trip. We ordered some catmint from them, which apparently is a herbaceous plant, so they really can't send it bareroot. So instead they sent it in little pots. They arrived today, and frankly they look to be in VERY SAD shape. Lots of them were looking wilted, and they had black rimming around them. One of them looked to be just about dead. So we're going to give them lots of TLC and hope that they'll come back to life. Still, I think we'll stick to bareroot plants by mail. Those seem to have a much better chance of surviving, which makes sense.
I ended up checking the MLP site today on a whim, and was rather pleased to discover that they've got the pony Pineapple Paradise slated. A PINEAPPLE pony! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 I must find her when they stop doing the ebay auction thing and she's released to the public.
