Happy Fun Traveling Time!
Jul. 31st, 2005 04:40 pmWell, this oughta be interesting. Part of this entry is gonna have to be typed with my recessive hand, as my other hand is busy scratching and petting my aunt's cat, who apparently is loving the attention. ^_^;
Anyway, IIIIIII'm in Florida! It took us about twelve hours to get down here, with stops, and having to take a long way and after getting stuck behind an accident. I was getting rather car happy(read: Extremely giggly and amused at *everything*) towards the end. But! I did manage to get a huge chunk of my cross stitch project done. Since I can't read in the car without getting car sick, for long trips I usually get a nice, big cross stitch project, and work on that on the way.
Unfortunately, I didn't see too much in the way of interesting things on the way down. Although, as we neared the NC/SC border, we started seeing all these signs for some place called "South of the Border". A lot of signs. Usually, when I start seeing signs for something every half mile, I get the impression that it's some sort of humongous tourist trap/store/whatever. I suspect I'm right. We saw the sombrero water tower before we saw the place itself. And even though we just drove by it, the impression I got from seeing the combination of large buildings with an amusement park and what I could see from signs, this place seemed to basically offer everything that you can't get in NC, but can in SC. Like aerial fireworks.
And we are now on countdown to weddingness. In abouuuut...six days, not counting today. I got to see the dress, and meet the groom, and see the centerpieces, and watch my wee little five year old cousin, who will be the flower girl, practice her rose-petal throwing. Now *that* was cute.
On a slightly different note, my rabbit icon is now wee little six year old cousin approved. ^_^;
And now to go off and do things! <3 <3 <3 <3
