Jun. 12th, 2006 05:59 pmWell, frig. Every year I hope that maybe this year they won't come, and every year, about this time, I'm disappointed to discover that they've somehow made it through another winter.
Junebugs, Japanese beetles, whatever you want to call them, to me, they are the SCOURGE.
The damn things have already attacked my rose bush and have commenced munching on my apple tree. *muttermuttergrouchgrouch*

Date: 2006-06-13 12:23 am (UTC)japanese beetle (http://www.pueblo.gsa.gov/cic_text/housing/japanese-beetle/jbeetle.html)
the latter is destructive and invasive and alien to here. EVIL CREATURES!!
the former doesn't seem to be as evil, at least here. it's more just annoying. it's been around here for a long while.
the japanese beetle ate every leaf but 1 of my dad's japanese snowball bush by may, 2 years ago. he promptly removed the thing, it was dead-in-the-ground anyways. ;_;
