Mar. 19th, 2005 11:55 pmWell, I'm no longer in raging-angry mode now. Filling myself full of chocolate and getting a decent night's sleep can do that to me, I think. <3
Of course I'm still angry that I will not be able to get into the science fiction class(barring some sort of miracle). But I guess I need to try and make the best of it. I usually like to live by the philosophy that everything happens for a reason and that things turn out for the best in that respect, so I need to start living by that in this instance, despite the fact that I can't get the class I wanted and that that *sucks*. But, okay, I need to try and deal with this. So, I scoured the list of classes that fulfill that requirement, and managed to find a class on ancient science practices--how they did science in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Medieval Europe, and so on. Normally I steer away from history classes, but this at least sounds somewhat interesting. It also looks like it's not filling up very quickly, so it should still be open on Tuesday(unless a bunch of the seniors right above me suddenly decide they want to know how Babylonians did science). I think it'll work as a substitute, though I'm still a little bitter at the moment, so I'm not as enthused as I think I could be.
In other news, I now have a pair of shoes to wear to the wedding I'm going to on Saturday. I needed a pair of nice shoes that were not-black, seeing as that's the only color my nice shoes are, and I needed something that would match the dress I'm wearing. So I found a pair of off-white shoes at Payless with a nice strappy look to them that I think would go well with the (various shades of) purple that my dress is. If they work out okay, I think they'll become my official Going-to-Weddings shoes. My cousin is getting married in August, so if we end up going to that, they can come with me then too. 'course, they have some heel on them. Which means I'll get a crash course in wearing heels on Saturday. ^^;
In other-other-news, I fed my inner child today by going out and getting a My Little Pony. Unfortunately the store I went looking at had a very limited selection, but I ended up getting Bowtie, since I really liked her color scheme. I loved My Little Ponies when I was younger. Still do. <3 I have a small collection of them stowed away in my closet. Maybe I should look into taking them out again and using them to decorate my dorm room. Heck, I have a whole empty desk I could use as a shelf. XD Only problem is is that some of them are having bad hair days, and I'm not quite sure what would be the best method to fix that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to tame pony hair?
