Holy cow, stuff has happened this past week! ...two weeks. ...uh. Three weeks. >_>;;
Looking back through my LJ, I discovered that the first time I reported on Avobaby was November 11th of last year. You know what that means? Avobaby is one year old! OMG! ...it also means I missed Avobaby's birthday. But, since this week is considered week 52, I'm gonna say that it's actually this week. Really! I was on time! Honest! Avobaby, you know I still love you!

It's gotten so big. ;_; <3 Just think, about this time last year, Avobaby was just a wee little seedling, going all gangbusters to get as big as possible as fast as possible. Now, it's a large, lovely sapling that's almost as tall as I am, with a promising future, marred only by occasional self-mutilation and tattoos. Just like any other teenager! XD Here's to many more years of love, Avobaby! <3

Hal still continues to hold on. I haven't seen any significant change lately, for better or for worse. Every once in a while, I take a close look at the top bud, in hopes of seeing some activity, but haven't seen any. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part at this point that he'll suddenly burst out like a wild and crazy vine creature-thing. I think, considering where we are right now, I'd be happy if he just keeps surviving. I'll keep taking care of him as long as he continues to live.
And from there, we go to the big story. You remember Gigi, right? Gigi was introduced three weeks ago as the promising new seed. Assuming I'm remembering correctly, both Hal and Avobaby took quite a while before they started showing any signs of life. I want to say about three months, but maybe that's from beginning to seedling. Anyway. Point is, I look over at Gigi a few days ago, and I see THIS:

HOLY CRAP, GIGI IS ALREADY SHOWING SIGNS OF LIFE! AND MEGALOMANICAL TENDENCIES!
I mean, look at her! She already commandeered wine and women! Naked women, at that! I think I should be very concerned. Yes, Gigi is a different avocado variety, but I had no idea that she would start rooting so quickly. She hasn't even SPLIT, yet! Good gods, at this rate, Gigi will soon be ten feet high and lording over all the other plants in the house. First, the Hoarde, then, the WORLD!
Do you think avocado plants can laugh evilly?
