I am HOME. I am beat. Both sitting down and standing up are uncomfortable, and I've been running mainly on caffeine and adrenaline the past couple of days, thanks to the suddenly delicate sleep pattern I acquire when I travel, which makes it impossible for me to sleep more than six hours or so at a time. And it appears mosquitoes now come equipped with gas masks and hacksaws, as despite my attempts at dissuading them, they managed to somehow bite through my shirt and cover my back in bites. Note to self: Next time, just cover self in bug spray; not just the exposed parts.

But! I did it! I drove to Georgia and back again! It was very tough, and was very lonesome, and ungodly hot, but I got plants! I just hope they are good specimens, and that they'll help with things. I'm desperately hoping I got a couple in particular that I haven't been able to lay my hands on here. I'm really worried that I drove all the way down there, and all I got was crud. There's a little voice in the back of my head saying that I didn't really hit prime Dichanthelium areas, that I kinda just skirted them, or just didn't really get them. I dunno. I mean, part of the reason for doing this was to get stuff from the southern range of the genus, which I did. Hn.

The parks themselves were neat, though, especially Skidaway Island. I saw lots of wildlife, including deer and lizards and crabs and woodpeckers. The trees were really gorgeous, too--huge oaks (live oaks, I think) draped with Spanish moss and dotted with resurrection ferns. I got a lot more there than at the second park. I got a little anxious at the second park, too, where apparently a couple alligators had taken up residence, and I was looking along the lake shore. I started feeling very zebra-like a couple of times.

At least I'm home now, though. And now, *collapse*.
