ruHas anyone else noticed that every single story (not necessarily episode) in this season has had something to do with breeding? Not necessarily in the 'standard' manner, but somehow making more of a species in one manner or another. Among other things, we had the guy getting turned into an Ood, the Doctor getting quasi-cloned, and Donna having a pair of digital kids. I'm finding this intriguing. I'm not sure if this is a Bad Wolf/Torchwood-style theme, but it has been pretty consistent. And if it is, I wonder what it says about the finale. Hmm.

Date: 2008-07-04 12:33 am (UTC)It would be the most obvious that it somehow involves one of the Doctor's relatives popping up, offspring or parents or siblings or whatnot. It'd be kinda neat if Susan showed up in a different body.
Hmm, or perhaps it's a sign of the Time Lords coming back in the finale somehow? That'd kinda change the Doctor's character, though, seeing as his loneliness has kinda become a thing. *ponders*
