--On the list of things you shouldn't do, losing your field notebook is one of them. Thankfully, I found it again, in an unlikely place, but good GOLLY I was starting to get kinda panicky, especially since it usually doesn't wander far when I'm not in the field. It has all the location data for the plants I collected on my trips, which need to eventually get turned into labels for the specimens, so losing that would be Bad. I'm just glad I found it again.

--One of my favorite children's books is being turned into a movie. I'm not yet sure what to think about it. Next thing we know, they'll be making a movie out of "King Bigood's in the Bathtub". I will probably end up seeing it at some point, though, because--one of my favorite children's books. I was amused to see that there was a sequel to it at the bookstore the other day. Featuring two-foot-diameter cookies. <3

--I'm finding Shirt Woot very intriguing. There are some very interesting styles there. And thanks to Eien-chan, I'm now the proud owner of this shirt.

--I need to do a DressQuest update. More things have happened!

--And also, eeeeeeeggs. <3

I am so glad you read that book too, I was trying to explain it to Cal and Meej the other day when we saw a display for it and failed miserably. I was all oh, they're making a movie out of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs! You remember! That book, where it went crazy at the end and was like, raining ten ton donuts and they had to evacuate and go where weather wasn't food?

I swear they thought I was making shit up.

Awww. Admittedly it does sound totally ridiculous until you read it and then it ALL MAKES SENSE. The things that always stuck in my mind were the pork chop clouds and the peanut butter sandwich sailing boats.

I saw that they're also adapting "Where the Wild Things Are". I guess classic children's books are the thing now?
