I came to the realization today that I may want to get a Dreamwidth account. The thought has crossed my mind more than once in the past, but I've hesitated because, well, I have enough trouble keeping up one journal, let alone two. But on the other hand, it would make seeing delicious writings and artses easier, so I dunno. Those of you that are on DW, what are your thoughts on it so far? How have you used it, and is it working out?

I love Dreamwidth. <333 I have two accounts over there, my "personal stuff" account which is access-locked and crossposted (for the time being) here to LJ, and my public art account. The Dreamwidth devs have taken the LJ source code and not only fixed all the bugs, but added all kinds of new and awesome features. They've also made a stand for supporting the fannish community and standing up to jerkfaces who would try to shut it down, and they're very open with how they run the business.

Dreamwidth feels like LJ did back in the day, very much a community. It's also a bit of a clean slate for me, a fresh place to journal. Eventually I'll kill my LJ, once more of the people I care to read either migrate to DW or drop off the face of the planet. (I can also read them through RSS. XD) I really dislike LJ's business practices lately, so it's really only a matter of time. I've dropped to a free acount status here, in fact, because I don't want to give them any more money.

Let me know if you'd like a code for a DW account! ^_^

I also have one which I rarely use (I'm angengea), except to keep up with friends who have migrated away from LiveJournal. It's... pretty much the same, but there is a degree of re-education involved with regards to tags and things.

Yeah, I'm thinking at the barest minimum, I can use it to keep up with people that have moved thataway a little easier. Supposedly there's a way to post to both journals simultaneously, which I might look into. Thanks for your input! <3

You can totally post to both journals. It's pretty easy to figure out; I don't think you'll have any trouble with it. :D
