So now that it's Wednesday, I can officially say that I've seen all my classes(save the labs, but those may not necessarily count). And having experienced them all at least once, I've drawn the following conclusions--or maybe they would be predictions--about the next semester:
--Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be my happy days. At least the classes seem like they'll be more enjoyable.
--I have considerably fewer exams this time around.
--On the opposite side though, I'm going to have plenty of everything else to keep me busy--everything from reading to papers to busy work.
--My style professor seems to be the most likeable.
--On the downside though, the class is a bit intimidating. Im really goings to ned to watch those grammmar and spelings.
--My drama professor reminds me vaugely of my biochem professor. Not a good omen.
--Physics will, if nothing else, be unique.
--I'll be lucky if I have even a smudge of free time. Wait, that's normal. ^^;
I went to the career center yesterday, and I'll probably go back again today. In regards to the whole major change thing, I'm leaning much more towards botany rather than horticulture. Just looking at some of the jobs people get as botanists as opposed to horticulturists, it seems like it's more of the direction I want to go in. Maybe I'll take several horticulture-oriented classes though just to make myself feel better. Or something. I dunno if I'm going to be making the official decision this week, but I need to make it soon.
If I do go for botany though, I'm going to drop the plant phys lab like it was a steaming hot bowl of oatmeal. While it would be neat to do, it's not required for a botany degree, and frankly I'm going to have more than enough to do than to have to write a lab report every friggin' week. I'm not cutting the strings yet though. Just in case.
And now it's time for me to make the hike across campus and up seven flights of stairs. Should be a bit easier this time because I won't be carrying as much, but still. And I get to read the comedic poem I found. Hopefully it will go decently.
