May. 27th, 2005 10:42 pmAnimazement! Yay! Animazement! Yay! Animazement! Yay!!!
Okay, so it's a day late that I'm actually acknowledging this fact here. Better late than never, I guess. ^_^;;
In any case, today was the first day of Animazement. I suspect I'll be spending a lot of time working at one of the video rooms when I'm not doing things like going to the dealer's room or going to the few events I have an interest in.
I have to admit, the dealer's room is a bit disappointing this year. It seems a bit sparse, and one of the vendors, a group that sells CDs and that have been there for several years now, didn't show up. Maybe they'll show up tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.
I have decided though that I have an appreciation for costumes that are obviously shabbily put together, but are creative and have some humor. For example, one person is wearing a cardboard box with the words "SAVE POINT" written on it. So he's cosplaying as a save point. That's cute, but what makes it funnier is that apparently if you run into him he'll spin around and say that your game has been saved. ^_^; That deserves some points for creativity. People were apparently running around the con looking for him, which reminds me of when I played FF games, and was going "Where's the save point? Where's the save point? Geez, I need a save point NOW, where is it?!?" XD
And finally, I'm very appreciative of the fact that the Pimp Daddy Shopping Cart has made its appearance once again. I find the Pimp Daddy Shopping Cart to be a delightfully amusing way for one to carry their purchases. Imagine if you will, an average shopping cart, like the kind you'd find at a grocery store or a place like Targe or Wal-Mart. Spray paint it gold. Line the bottom with plush purple velvet. Put leopard skin on the handle bars. Hang a little disco ball from the child seat. Thus is the Pimp Daddy Shopping Cart. I'm gonna try and get a picture of it this year, which I'll try to post. ^_^
And now, to shower and sleep, so I can begin my day of sitting at the video room desk, watching the cosplayers go by, hoping to find a Sailor Moon artbook in the dealer's room, and hoping I'll be able to find the Save Point so I can save my game. XD
