Jan. 11th, 2010 11:41 pmHigh time I stopped sitting on this, also from the winter rush of last year, and posted it. XD Resurrecting the Gesma albumfic that will never die, we skip to track 8. It's the dreamy quality of the song that really inspired the fic. The lyrics just happened to fit perfectly as well.
So used to coming on strong
I was the best at that for so long
Get heady and take aim
And miss a shot at close range
Anika really needs to work on her impulsiveness.
Incidentally, all the the main characters in Gesma, in keeping with the "Tenth Kingdom" theme, are reimaginings of various and sundry fairy tales. Any guesses on which tale Anika springs from (and those of you in Gesma are not allowed to answer, for obvious reasons. :p)?
