Okay, there's been a little activity these past couple of weeks.

Well, Avobaby continues to grow, though appears to be taking a break for the moment. The apex hasn't really done much development, which makes me think Avobaby feels the need to lie low for the moment. I'm actually a little glad about that--Avobaby works way too hard for a sapling. Besides that, I'm really thinking I need to move Avobaby into a bigger pot, if nothing else then so it'll have more water space when we go to FL, and I'm starting to worry if I'll be able to do any signficant moving of Avobaby--it gets verrrry wobbly when I turn it, and I'm afraid that if I try to repot it, I'll end up breaking it, which would make me incredibly sad.

Avobaby's seed, in the meantime, is slowly disintegrating. It's still quite hard, but it looks like it's collapsing from the inside, almost. Perhaps it's drying up. Aaah, it's so hard to see a child forsaking the things of their youth for more mature trappings. Like. Um. More leaves.

On the Hal front, we have a news flash!

Rumors have been circulating ever since the release of this photo, which suggests that the seed known as Hal is actually producing a shoot--there's a significant baby bump now, which is looking remarkably like how Avobaby's apex looked when it was a newborn. Hopefully it's not just a sign of heavy drinking and the subsequent development of a beer gut.

Also interesting to note is the strange little green lump at the bottom of the apparent bump. Experts are uncertain what this growth indicates--mold? Carcinoma? Alien pod out to create Audrey II and destroy us all? Or, is it possible, Hal is producing TWINS?!? Only time will tell! More news on this story as it breaks!
