Christmas and Knitting Fun!
Dec. 26th, 2006 09:18 pmNow that it's post-Christmas, the leftover goodies are free for the taking! Mmm, choco-nutty bars. <3 <3
Anyway, Christmas in my family has once again proven itself to be a hugemongous, two-day holiday bash of large-like proportions. Food was consumed, alcohol was drunk, paper was ripped, and bubble wrap was popped with large amounts of copious glee. Much fun was had by all.
I got lots of little things for Christmas, including an infusion of music and "Please Save My Earth" manga, a couple of work shirts and a couple of Monty Python shirts, a book: "The $64 Tomato: How One Man Nearly Lost his Sanity, Spent a Fortune, and Endured an Existential Crisis in the Quest for the Perfect Garden", and a couple of Amy Brown figurines for my plants. Eien-chan got me a calendar and a very shiny little gadget which I think could be called a Swiss-army pruner. I'm still not 100% sure what all the little devices in it are for yet. My grandmother got all us granddaughters hoodies which are basically all the same except for the color--she has a knack for figuring out what color is best for us all, and I have to say, I think the concensus is that we all loved loved LOVED them. I adore mine--it's peridot green and warm and fuzzy and I haven't taken it off all day because I love it everso. We also played the Screw Your Neighbor game, in which I ended up getting what had been my contribution--a Lushy package of bath bombs, which happened to also have a 15% off coupon inside. Bonus!
OH. And now that it's after the holidays and now that I've given it to him, I can show off my sekrit knitting project!
( Mmm, pictures of incredibly bent yarn! )
